LMU Announces First Annual Spring Training Camp

Jan. 4, 2008

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The LMU baseball team will be holding its inaugural Spring Training Camp on January 19 and 20 at Page Stadium on the campus of LMU. The camp will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The cost is $240.00 per camper for all campers ages 7-13. The cost includes coaches' evaluations and shirt.

The camp is designed for the baseball player who is looking to prepare for the upcoming season. Campers will be assigned to a "camp team" for the duration of the camp. The routine for these days will include team stretching and infield and outfield before games. The Saturday session will consist of batting practice, fielding evaluations, pitching, long toss throwing program, and games.

This is a great camp to learn a few new concepts and showcase your talents while competing in a challenging and competitive environment.

Instruction will be provided on both days by the Lion coaching staff, Head Coach Frank Cruz and assistants, Andrew Keehn, Scott Walter and Shane Schumaker. For more information on the camp, contact Coach Shane Schumaker at (310) 338-7768 or sschumak@lmu.edu.
