Countdown to Opening Day: Meyers, Farris Among Top-75 College Draft Prospects

Jan. 29, 2007

Durham, NC - LMU baseball's Brad Meyers and Eric Farris are among Baseball America's top-100 college draft prospects. Meyers made the top-30, while Farris checked in at No. 66.

Baseball America's top-100 list details the predicted order of the nation's top college players eligible for the 2007 June MLB Draft.

Meyers was one of just four college players in California to make the top-30. He and Farris are two of the four West Coast Conference players to make the top-75.

Last week, Baseball America also predicted that the pair of LMU juniors will be All-WCC first-team selections after the 2007 campaign. Farris was picked to be the WCC Player of the Year.

Meyers, Farris, and the Lions open the season Friday at home against Sacramento State. Opening Day festivities will begin just prior to the 2:00 p.m. start. Fans who can't make it out to Page Stadium can follow all of the action on Lions' All-Access at www.LMULions.com.
