SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its inaugural Rawlings Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week for February 23, 2015.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE RAWLINGS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - TYLER FROST, FR., UTL - GONZAGA
Freshman UTL Tyler Frost led Gonzaga with a .563 batting average at the Phoenix Muni Classic. The freshman tallied four runs, three RBI, and two extra-base hits, including his first career home run Feb. 28 at nationally-ranked Arizona State. Frost also went 4-for-5 during game two of a doubleheader Feb. 26 versus Purdue, scoring a pair of runs and knocking in one more in the Zags' 12-2 win over the Boilermakers.
Frost has had a huge impact on the Zags in his young career. As the only regular freshman starter in the lineup, Frost is second on the team with a .395 batting average, nine runs scored, and four extra base hits. He's also one of two regular starters with a perfect fielding percentage.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE RAWLINGS PITCHER OF THE WEEK - DAVID HILL, JR., RHP - SAN DIEGO
Junior right-hander David Hill stifled No. 8 Texas for six innings helping San Diego to an impressive road win. Hill (1-2) allowed just one run on one hit and four walks, while striking out six Longhorns in game one of USD's double-header sweep over Texas.
