BYU's Law, GU's Gonzales honored by WCC

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Rawlings Pitcher and Player of the Week for March 4, 2013.

RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
MARCO GONZALES, JR., LHP, GONZAGA

Gonzaga junior Marco Gonzales is the Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week. The southpaw put together one of his best performances in a Gonzaga jersey against No. 2 Arkansas on Friday, tossing a complete game shutout. In the 3-0 Bulldogs win, Gonzales scattered eight hits over nine innings, recording nine strikeouts without issuing a walk.

RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ADAM LAW, JR., 3B, BYU

BYU third baseman Adam Law is the Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week. Law went 11-for-19 at the plate over five games last week (.579 batting average), ripping four extra base hits. He scored seven runs and drove home eight in leading the Cougars to a 4-1 week. Law posted an on-base percentage of .636 last week, while slugging .947. In all, Law registered four multi-hit games for the week while boosting his current hitting streak to six games.
