SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Rawlings Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week for March 9, 2015.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE RAWLINGS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - COLLIN FERGUSON, SR., IF - SAINT MARY'S
Senior infielder Collin Ferguson carried Saint Mary's to three wins in four games at Utah Valley with a prodigious offensive display. The first baseman from Santa Cruz, Calif. went 10 for 17 (.588) with nine runs, nine RBI, three home runs, three doubles and seven walks against the Wolverines. Ferguson hit two home runs in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, then went 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBI in the series finale. In the process, Ferguson extended his hitting streak to 15 games and, with a double in the ninth inning of Sunday's game, tied the Saint Mary's record for career doubles with 57. Ferguson is hitting .426 and slugging .787 through the first 16 games of the season.

For his efforts, Ferguson was also named a National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball.

Also Nominated: Justin Jacobs, Gonzaga; Manny Jefferson, Pepperdine; Dominic Miroglio, San Francisco; Hayden Nielsen, BYU; Jerod Smith, San Diego; Tyler Sullivan, Pacific

WEST COAST CONFERENCE RAWLINGS PITCHER OF THE WEEK - BRANDON BAILEY, SO., RHP - GONZAGA
Sophomore right hander Brandon Bailey shut down #25/30 Tulane, holding the Green Wave to just three hits while striking out 10 batters - both career bests - in eight innings. Bailey took a no-hitter into the seventh inning for the second consecutive outing, not allowing giving Tulane a hit in the Green Wave's first 20 batters (6.2 innings) of the night.

He spurred the Bulldogs to a 2-0 win over the nationally-ranked Green Wave, Gonzaga's first win over a ranked opponent this season. His 10 strikeouts, three hits allowed, and zero runs allowed are the best marks of a GU starter this year, and his 8.0 innings pitched equals the team's best.

Also Nominated: Corbin Burnes, Saint Mary's; David Hill, San Diego; Kolton Mahoney, BYU; Anthony Shew, San Francisco; Ryan Wilson, Pepperdine
