San Diego's Bryant earns second consecutive WCC Player of the Week honor

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Rawlings Pitcher and Player of the Week for March 18, 2013.

RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
KURT YINGER, SO., RHP, PORTLAND

Portland sophomore Kurt Yinger is the WCC Rawlings Pitcher of the Week. The southpaw registered a career-high 12 strikeouts and didn't walk a single batter en route to his first career complete game shutout as the Pilots defeated the UC Riverside Highlanders 2-0 at Joe Etzel Field on Saturday afternoon. The sophomore scattered six hits and the Highlanders advanced a runner past second base just once.

RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KRIS BRYANT, JR., 3B, SAN DIEGO

San Diego junior Kris Bryant is the Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week. Bryant went five for 12 from the plate last week as the Toreros swept BYU. He knocked in eight runs and hit four homeruns, including two walk-offs.
