(San Francisco, CA) - Junior outfielder/pitcher Scott Cousins was named the WCC Player of the Week for the week of March 13-19.
Cousins helped USF post a 3-1 mark on the week, and led the Dons to a pair of wins over New Mexico on the road over the weekend. Cousins batted .500 (8-for-16) in four games, driving in seven runs and scoring five times. The junior began the series at UNM with a 3-for-5 performance, clubbing a triple and driving in three runs. Cousins went 2-for-4 in each of the next two contests in the series, scoring four times and hitting his first home run of the season on Sunday.
Cousins was named WCC Player of the Week four times last season (2/15, 3/22, 4/26, and 5/10) and WCC Pitcher of the Week once (4/5).
