Lions Host San Diego State Tuesday

April 8, 2007

LOS ANGELES - LMU baseball returns to Page Stadium for a mid-week match-up this Tuesday with San Diego State. The Lions (13-22-1, 2-4 WCC) will host the Aztecs (21-14, 6-2 MWC) for a 3:00 p.m. non-conference battle before heading back out on the road for another weekend of West Coast Conference action.

The Lions are coming off a heartbreaking weekend that saw them drop three games by just four runs on the road to the ninth-ranked team in the nation, WCC foe Pepperdine.

The visiting Aztecs swept New Mexico in their three-game Mountain West Conference series this weekend at Tony Gwynn Stadium. With the sweep, San Diego State remains in second place in the MWC, one game behind TCU.

The two teams met early in the 2007 campaign, with the Aztecs coming away with the win after a soggy night of rain delays in San Diego.

LMU has just three mid-week contests and two WCC series remaining on the home schedule, so don't miss this chance to catch the Lions at Page Stadium. Fans who can't make it out to the park can follow the action on both Gametracker and Lions' All-Access audio at www.LMULions.com.
