SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego's sophomore left-hander Josh Romanski takes home another individual award, as he is selected to the College Baseball Foundation's National Honor Roll after turning in a dominating performance on the mound this past weekend.
The sophomore left-hander displayed another dominating performance in Saturday's, 2-0, win over Saint Mary's. He threw a two-hit gem, allowing no runs, while striking out a career-high nine batters and only walking one, in the first complete game of his career. He lowered his ERA to 2.81, with an overall record of (5-1). In WCC action, he is (1-0) with a 0.54 ERA.
Romanski and the 21st-ranked Toreros will return to action later this afternoon in a 3 p.m. non-conference game against UC Riverside at USD's Cunningham Stadium.
