Dons Baseball Delayed After Five Innings

April 21, 2007

(San Francisco, CA) - Dons baseball has been postponed after five innings in Portland, OR due to rainy weather. USF leads the Pilots 1-0 and the game will resume Sunday at 11:00 AM. Tomorrow's previously scheduled game will begin 30 minutes after the end of the first game.

In the top of the third, junior second baseman Joey Railey was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning, and advanced to second on his 14th steal of the season. Junior right fielder Luke Sommer walked to put runners at first and second. Both Dons then took off on a double steal and Railey scored on a throwing error by Portland's catcher Rocky Gale.
