WCC PodCentral: Inside The WCC With Pepperdine's Cook and Gonzaga's Van Winkle

WCC PodCentral: Inside the WCC sat down with this week's WCC/Rawlings Pitcher and Player of the Week, Tyson Van Winkle from Gonzaga University and Cole Cook from Pepperdine University.

Van Winkle, a junior catcher, turned in an outstanding week, batting .722 with seven runs scored, six doubles, and nine RBI. Van Winkle talked about his approach at the plate, working with the Gonzaga pitching staff, and taking on a leadership role on the team.

Cook, a redshirt freshman RHP, tossed eight shutout innings in a win over LMU, allowing just three hits, while striking out seven Lions. The Los Angeles, CA native talked about his amazing freshman season, staying close to home, and what he learned from his redshirt season.
