SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- It will be another action packed week for the WCC as Gonzaga earns a national ranking and there is a four-way tie for second in the conference standings. Teams will be facing tough regional action during mid-week play on Tuesday and Wednesday including Portland taking on No. 7 Oregon at home. The Desert Duel continues for BYU as they host in-state rival Utah, and the Bulldogs will host Washington twice this week. In conference play this week LMU travels to Portland, Saint Mary's will host Santa Clara, San Francisco will face off against San Diego, and Gonzaga will finish up a busy week with BYU in Spokane.

RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK:
PJ CONLON, FR., LHP, SAN DIEGO
San Diego freshman PJ Conlon is the Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week. Conlon made two appearances with one start this past week, and posted a 2-0 record. Conlon pitched in 8.2 innings, and he didn't allow a run to cross the plate, earned or unearned. In his start on Sunday against Santa Clara, Conlon went 6.2 innings, allowing no runs on five hits, while striking out a career-high nine batters. In his first appearance on Friday, Conlon went 2.0 innings, allowing no runs on no hits in 2.0 innings of work to pick up the win.
RAWLINGS WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
KRIS BRYANT, JR., 3B, SAN DIEGO
Junior All-American Kris Bryant is the Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week. Bryant helped lead USD to a perfect 4-0 record, as he paced the team's offense going 7-for-14 (.500) with one double, five home runs and six RBI. Bryant slugged at a 1.643 clip and had an on base percentage of .650. Bryant was walked six times. He hit a home run in all four games this week. With his five home runs, Bryant set a new USD single-season record for home runs with 20, and he has now tied the career record with 43.
Gonzaga is currently ranked 22nd in the Collegiate Baseball national poll. They received votes in two other polls along with San Diego receiving votes in one poll.
Kris Bryant was also named the Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week.
