San Bruno, CA- Saint Mary's senior outfielder Sam Carter (Clayton, CA) was named the West Coast Conference/Rawlings Co-Player of the Week as announced by the conference office today. After being named the WCC Player of the Month for March, Carter adds another accolade to his banner season. The selection marks the third time this season that a Gael has nabbed the honor.

Carter led the Gaels to a 5-1 week including a WCC series sweep over Portland. Carter batted .435 (10-for-23) and led the team with three home runs and nine RBIs. The Clayton native also added two doubles, five runs and 21 total bases on top of slugging .913.
