Saturday's LMU at Gonzaga game to be televised on ESPNU

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The final weekend of April brings key West Coast Conference baseball series, beginning with Thursday afternoon's BYU at San Francisco tilt. On Saturday, Loyola Marymount plays at Gonzaga in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPNU.


  • Three West Coast Conference teams rank in the top 30 in RPI according to this week's report on NCAA.com: Gonzaga (25), San Diego (27), and Pepperdine (29). The West Coast Conference ranks sixth in conference RPI according to boydsworld.com.

  • Saturday night's LMU at Gonzaga game will be televised nationally on ESPNU.

  • Gonzaga's Maxx Garrett and San Francisco's Jason Mahood are tied for seventh nationally, with 13 sacrifice bunts each.

  • San Francisco junior RHP Elliott Waterman is the Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week. Waterman saved all three games as the Dons swept visiting Gonzaga last week.

  • San Diego senior DH Corey LeVier is the Rawlings WCC Player of the Week. LeVier hit .692 (9-for-13) last week as the Toreros took two of three from Saint Mary's.

  • San Diego closer Michael Wagner leads the nation with 18 saves. Portland's Owen Jones ranks third with 13 saves.
