Toreros to Hold Grandmother's First Pitch

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego baseball team will be honoring the mothers of USD players as well as the mothers in attendance of Gonzaga University prior to this Sunday's series finale between Gonzaga and USD. USD will also be honoring the grandmothers in attendance with a grandmother's first pitch.

Senior's Ryan Lilly and Nicholas Cranmer will also be honord on Sunday prior to the game against Gonzaga for senior day.

This weekend's games against Gonzaga are the Toreros' last chance to make a final push for a berth into the West Coast Conference championship series. USD currently stands one game behind both Pepperdine University and the University of San Francisco for first place in the WCC.

USD is riding a five-game win streak and will look to extend the streak with a mid-week game against Cal State Northridge on Tuesday before hosting Gonzaga. Tuesday's game with the Matadors is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start as well as the series opening game with the Bulldogs at Cunningham Stadium. The remaining games for the weekend are scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at Cunningham Stadium.
