SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - The University of San Diego has announced the ticket prices for the West Coast Conference Baseball Championship Series. Reserved seating will be sold for $10 each and general admission tickets will be sold for $5 each. Presale tickets will go one sale Friday beginning at 6 p.m. These tickets can be purchased on the USD website, http://usdtoreros.cstv.com/tickets/usd-tickets.html. The USD box office will begin to field phone orders on Monday May 21. The championship series will take place at USD's Cunningham Stadium on May 25-27, in a best of three games series, between the fifth-ranked Toreros and Gonzaga University.

The Toreros will enter the series after claiming the regular-season WCC title in Friday's 3-1 win over Santa Clara University. The Toreros are 41-15 overall and have a conference mark of 18-3. USD finished the conference season winning 17 of their last 18 games, including a program-best five consecutive series sweeps and six consecutive WCC series wins to close out season. USD is led offensively by senior right fielder Shane Buschini, who has a team-best .352 batting average, has 74 hits, 18 doubles, a team-leading 13 homeruns and has 55 RBI. On the mound, USD looks to sophomore left-hander Brian Matusz to anchor down the rotation as he has an overall record of 10-2 and an ERA of 2.43.

The Bulldogs are entering the series for the first time since the 2001 season and have won five of their last six conference games including taking two-of-three against No. 25 Pepperdine University this past week. Gonzaga is the lone team in the WCC to capture a series against the Toreros and one of only two teams to defeat USD in conference action. The Zags overall record is 32-22 and their conference record stands at 15-6. The Bulldogs look to junior third baseman Darrin Holcomb to lead the offense as he has a team-leading .373 batting average, 81 hits, has 14 doubles, six home runs and 38 RBI. On the mound, the Zags look to Clayton Mortenson to anchor things down. On the season, Mortenson is 8-2 with a 4.00 ERA.
