SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Rawlings Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week for May 19, 2014. This is the final weekly conference honor for the 2014 season.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE RAWLINGS PITCHER OF THE WEEK
COLIN WELMON, JR., RHP, LOYOLA MARYMOUNT
Junior RHP Colin Welmon tossed his second complete-game shutout of the year, and the third of his career, on Friday night at Pacific, guiding Loyola Marymount to a 4-0 victory over the Tigers at Klein Family Field. His first complete-game shutout of the year also came in WCC play at BYU on April 17.

The complete game was his third of the year and the fifth of his career, including his second in as many starts after going the distance against Pepperdine on May 2. The native of Tustin, Calif. allowed just five hits and no walks while striking out four over the nine shutout frames. He needed just 99 pitches to complete the game, and faced just one over the minimum the rest of the way after allowing a leadoff double in the third. With the victory, Welmon improved to 9-2 on the year, and 7-1 in the WCC.
