Bracket and Game Times Announced for 2015 West Coast Conference Baseball Championship

SAN BRUNO, Calif. --
The West Coast Conference has announced the bracket and game times for the 2015 WCC Baseballl Championship, to be played May 21-23 at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton, Calif. The four-team championship at neutral site returns for the third straight season.

San Diego captured the West Coast Conference regular season title, marking the first time since 2010 the Toreros have finished atop the conference standings. San Diego finished a WCC-best 19-8 in conference play, and will be the top seed in this week's championship. The Toreros will be joined in this year's field by No. 2 seed and 2014 WCC regular season and tournament champion Pepperdine (17-10 WCC), No. 3 seed BYU (16-11) and No. 4 seed Loyola Marymount (16-11).

Both the Waves and the Lions made the 2014 field, while the Toreros and Cougars return to Banner Island Ballpark for the first time since the inaugural event in 2013.

The tournament features a modified NCAA Regionals double-elimination format, with no "if necessary" championship game.

The first pitch of the 2015 WCC Baseball Championship is on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. PDT, when top-seed San Diego faces Loyola Marymount. That game will be followed by Pepperdine vs. BYU at approximately 7 p.m. PDT. Friday's action gets underway with the first of three games beginning at Noon PDT. The tournament's first five games will all be streamed live and available free of charge on TheW.tv, powered by Campus Insiders.

Saturday's championship game will be played at 7:00 p.m. PDT, and will be televised live on ESPNU and via WatchESPN.

The winner of the 2015 West Coast Conference Baseball Championship will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
