Pepperdine Named No. 1 Seed at Malibu Regional and will Host No. 4 Seed Missouri

Malibu, Calif. - Pepperdine, which claimed its 17th West Coast Conference (WCC) Championship and earned the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Championships, was named the No. 1 seed of the Malibu Regional and will host No. 4 seed Missouri Friday at Eddy D. Field Stadium.

Pepperdine (40-19), which is making its 23rd NCAA Championships appearance, was selected a regional host site for the first time in program history. Missouri is 31-25 on the season and earned an at-large bid after going 12-15 in the Big 12.

Also selected to the Malibu Regional were No. 2 seed UCLA (32-23) and No. 3 seed UC Irvine (36-22). Both teams earned at-large bids and will play the opening game on Friday.

The Malibu Regional will open on Friday and continue through Monday, June 5. The winner advances to one of eight Super Regionals and will take on the champion of the Fullerton Regional beginning June 9.

Times of the Malibu Regional are tentatively scheduled for 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. but could change with TV.

UCLA and UC Irvine will meet at 11 a.m. on Friday with the Pepperdine-Missouri game to follow at 3 p.m.

All-Tournament passes are $50 with single game adult tickets priced at $15.00. Seniors, youth and student tickets are $10.00.
