San Francisco has tough road to College World Series

Barry Bonds' home-run chase hasn't been the only big baseball story this spring in the city by the bay.

The San Francisco Dons (38-21) are in the NCAA tournament for the first time, a year after a 38-win season wasn't enough for an at-large bid. Although the Dons lost the West Coast Conference championship series to Pepperdine, they shared the regular-season title with the Waves, the first league championship of any kind for a program that's been in existence since the 1890s.
