SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2014 West Coast Conference Baseball All-Academic Team. Two student-athletes making their third straight appearance on the first team headline the list: San Francisco's Abe Bobb and Santa Clara's Zachary Looney.

Four student-athletes appear on the first team for the second time: San Francisco's Christian Cecilio, Gonzaga's Mitchell Gunsolus, Loyola Marymount's Brandon Horth and BYU's Dillon Robinson. Robinson captured Capital One Academic All-District honors, posting a 3.54 GPA in Finance as a junior for the Cougars.

Gonzaga and San Francisco each had five first team selections to lead all honorees. All told, 10 West Coast Conference baseball student-athletes compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
