Sept. 11, 2006
Cape Cod, Mass. - LMU baseball's Eric Farris was selected as the 2006 Cape Cod All-League second baseman, CCBL Commissioner Paul Galop announced. Farris had represented his Cotuit Kettlers on the Western Division All-Star team and finished the summer season strong to earn the final all-league selection.
Farris hit .298 on the summer and led the Cape League in stolen bases with a 17-for-19 effort.
At LMU, Farris received All-West Coast Conference recognition his two underclassmen seasons, earning a second-team selection as a freshman in 2005. He returns to the team as a junior this season.
Farris' all-league selection continues the trend of LMU success on the Cape. Since Head Coach Frank Cruz joined the Lions in 1997, four of the six Lions to play in the Cape League have been named all-stars or all-league selections.
Farris and the Lions open the 2007 season at Page Stadium February 2 against Sacramento State.
