USF Baseball Hosts Annual Alumni Weekend

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. - USF Baseball will host its annual Alumni Weekend September 15-17. As part of the events, past and present Diamond Dons will take part in three alumni games beginning with the Almuni Classic at noon on Saturday. The Inaugural Benedetti Golf Classic is scheduled to close the weekend out on Monday at 10 a.m.

Taking part in the weekend will be current professional and former USF players Aaron Poreda (Chicago White Sox Class Rookie), Scott Cousins (Florida Marlins Class A), Stefan Gartrell (Chicago White Sox Class A Advanced), Luke Sommer (Chicago Cubs Class Rookie), Patrick McGuigan (Toronto Blue Jays Class A) and Tagg Bozied (St. Louis Cardinals Class AAA).

Lunch will provided between games on Saturday by Huki Lau. Head Coach Nino Giarratano will preview the 2008 edition of the Diamond Dons at a social at Kell's Restaurant following the final game on Sunday. All present will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with USF legends, past and present.
