Diamond Dons Participate in Thanksgiving Drive

Nov. 27, 2007

In their second community service project in as many months, the Diamond Dons participated in the USF Thanksgiving Food Drive. The players helped other members of the USF community by stuffing boxes full of Thanksgiving food for needy families.

The Drive raised over $6,000 and provided over 90 families with dinner for this holiday.

Senior first baseman Mitch Bialosky had this to say about the volunteering, "Its Nice to give back to people here in the city that are less fortunate than we are."

Besides the food drive the baseball program has teamed up with the Junior Giants and the Nike Women's Marathon for other community service projects.
