SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- One of the most highly-anticipated West Coast Conference match-ups in January tips-off on Thursday night when No. 21/23 Gonzaga travels to McKeon Pavilion to face Saint Mary's (8p PT, ESPN2). Also that night, Loyola Marymount visits Pepperdine in a Wells Fargo PCH Cup showdown (7p, ESPNU).

  • In one of the WCC's most highly-anticipated January showdowns, No. 21/23 Gonzaga visits Saint Mary's on Thursday at 8p PT (ESPN2). Those two teams have combined to win every regular season WCC title since 2001.

  • With Monday night's victory over San Francisco, the Gaels have won their first four WCC contests in four of the last five years.

  • In this week's RPI Report from the NCAA, Gonzaga ranks tenth nationally among 344 Division I schools. Saint Mary's is No. 31, and BYU is ranked 43rd. The RPI is an important factor in helping select at-large bids for the NCAA Tournament in March.

  • Also on Thursday, LMU visits Pepperdine as part of the Wells Fargo PCH Cup series (7p PT, ESPNU).

  • Only eight Division I teams have won at least 25 games in each of the last four seasons. Three of those teams (BYU, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's) call the West Coast Conference home.

  • The WCC has a 71-44 (.617) non-conference record this season. In 2010-11, the WCC non-conference winning percentage was .554.

  • Saint Mary's Rob Jones is the WCC Player of the Week for January 9. Jones scored 31 points and pulled down 12 boards in a win at San Diego.

  • Seven members of the 2011 All-WCC Team were named to this year's Preseason All-West Coast Conference Team.

  • The WCC's weekly web video show, "The Road to Las Vegas," returns to WCCsports.com on Wednesday. This week, viewers get a behind-the-scenes look at basketball referees' on-going training.

  • Also on January 11, WCC Live, the popular Internet talk show returns. This week's guests include Gonzaga's Robert Sacre, Portland's Ryan Nicholas, and Pepperdine head coach Marty Wilson.
