SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced its Men's Basketball Player of the Month award-winner for December 2012.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE MONTH
KELLY OLYNYK, R-JR., C, GONZAGA
Gonzaga redshirt-junior center Kelly Olynyk is the West Coast Conference Player of the Month for December 2012. Olynyk averaged 18.1 points per game last month, connecting on 70.8% of his field goal attempts (51-for-62). He pulled down 6.4 rebounds per game, and shot 23-for-27 from the free throw line (85.2%) as the Bulldogs posted a 6-1 record for the month. The Canada native scored a career-high 22 points at Washington State - all in the second half. He also scored 20 points in a win over Kansas State, 21 points against Baylor, and 21 more in a win at then-No. 22 Oklahoma State.
