Haws named WCC Player of the Week for second time

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced its Men's Basketball Player of the Week award-winner for January 14, 2013.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TYLER HAWS, SO., G, BYU

BYU sophomore guard Tyler Haws is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after leading BYU to a pair of WCC victories. Haws averaged 24.0 points on 64.3% field goal shooting, while connecting on 40% of his three-point tries, and shooting 90.9% from the free throw line. Haws collected 3.5 rebounds and came away with 2.5 steals per game in lifting the Cougars to wins over Pepperdine and Santa Clara.

Tied at 50 on the road against the Broncos, Haws scored six during an 18-0 BYU run that sealed the victory.
