Santa Clara's Foster earns second WCC Player of the Week award

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced its Men's Basketball Player of the Week award-winner for January 21, 2013.

For the second time this season, Santa Clara senior guard Kevin Foster is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week. Foster averaged 27.5 points per game in a pair of Broncos road wins last week. The senior shot 62.5 percent (20-of-32), connecting on 57.1 percent of his threes (12-of-21). He also notched his first career double-double at San Francisco (27 points, 10 rebounds), averaging 6 boards, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game last week. Foster drained six three-pointers in each Santa Clara road win last week.

For the season, Foster leads the team with 20.2 ppg and is averaging 23.2 ppg in West Coast Conference play.
