SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Conference battles resume in the West Coast Conference on Thursday night, including a key showdown in Spokane as BYU (4-1) plays at No. 10 Gonzaga (4-0). Also Thursday, Pepperdine plays at Loyola Marymount in a Wells Fargo PCH Cup showdown.

  • In the latest NCAA RPI report (Jan. 21), the WCC has four teams in the Top 100: Gonzaga (9), BYU (42), Saint Mary's (62), and Santa Clara (88).

  • Home court advantage certainly helps, but it doesn't mean everything. Entering this week's play, the home team has won just 12 of 24 WCC games in 2013.

  • The West Coast Conference is the only Division I conference featuring four teams ranked in the top 25 in scoring: Gonzaga (9), BYU (18), Santa Clara (19), Saint Mary's (23).

  • This week's WCC Game of the Week features Santa Clara at San Diego at 1:00 Saturday. The contest will be preceded by "WCC This Week," and can be seen live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet Comcast SportsNet California, and ROOT Sports.

  • Santa Clara's Kevin Foster is the WCC's all-time three-point field goals leader with 378. The reigning WCC Player of the Week drained 12 over two road wins last week.

  • The popular Internet talk show WCC Live can be heard each Wednesday night at 8 p.m. PT. Hosted by Jeff Lampe, the weekly show features live interviews with WCC coaches and student athletes. Listen at blogtalkradio.com/wccsports .

  • San Diego sophomore guard Johnny Dee will be profiled on "WCC This Week" Saturday. Catch the show live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet, Comcast SportsNet California, and ROOT Sports.

  • Only five Division I teams have won at least 25 games in each of the last five seasons. Three of those teams (BYU, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's) call the WCC home. The other two: Duke, Kansas.
