SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- West Coast Conference play steamrolls into February, with teams jockeying for tournament seeding. On Thursday night, Santa Clara host Saint Mary's (8 p.m., ESPNU), while San Diego faces BYU (7 p.m., BYUtv) at Jenny Craig Pavilion.

  • In the latest NCAA RPI report (Feb. 4), the WCC has four teams in the Top 100: Gonzaga (10), BYU (37), Saint Mary's (58), and Santa Clara (89).

  • Over the last three weeks, three WCC games have been decided with game-winning shots as time expired (SMC at BYU 1/16, USF at POR 1/24, USD at LMU 2/4). In all three cases, the visiting team won.

  • Home court advantage certainly helps, but it doesn't mean everything. Entering this week's play, the home team has won just 19 of 41 WCC games in 2013.

  • The 2013 West Coast Conference Basketball Championships in Las Vegas are sold out. Limited single game tickets are expected to be available each game day at the Orleans Arena box office.

  • This week's WCC Game of the Week features Pepperdine at Portland at 1:00 Saturday. The contest will be preceded by "WCC This Week," and can be seen live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Comcast SportsNet California, and later Saturday on ROOT Sports.

  • The popular Internet talk show WCC Live can be heard each Wednesday night at 8 p.m. PT. Hosted by Jeff Lampe, the weekly show features live interviews with WCC coaches and student athletes. Listen at blogtalkradio.com/wccsports .

  • Portland junior forward Ryan Nicholas will be profiled on "WCC This Week" Saturday. Catch the show leading up to the Game of the Week on Time Warner Cable SportsNet, Comcast SportsNet California, and ROOT Sports.

  • Only five Division I teams have won at least 25 games in each of the last five seasons. Three of those teams (BYU, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's) call the WCC home. The other two: Duke, Kansas.
