SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Men's Basketball Player of the Week for February 16, 2015.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - KYLE WILTJER, JR., F - GONZAGA
Junior forward Kyle Wiltjer continued his strong month with a pair of double-figure games in two Zag wins this week. He averaged 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in victories over Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine to help drive Gonzaga's nation-leading home win streak to 40 games.
In an 80-51 win against LMU on Thursday, Wiltjer knocked down four three-pointers on the way to 21 points and snared 10 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double. Then on Saturday, Wiltjer scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds while going 4-for-4 from the free throw line in a 56-48 win over the Waves.
For the week, he shot .500 (11-22) from the field, .455 (5-11) from three and .778 (7-9) from the free throw line. He now has 10 games with at least 20 points and 22 games with at least 10 points.
