WCC Announces Players of the Week

San Bruno, CA - Senior center Omar Samhan averaged 18.5 points and 11 rebounds in helping Saint Mary's go undefeated last week. Against San Diego, Samhan posted a team-high 20 points to go along with 10 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season. He also had two blocks and three assists in that game while shooting 7-for-14 from the field and 6-for-7 from the charity stripe. Last Saturday, Samhan tallied 17 points and a game-high 12 rebounds in the Gael win over Utah State. He was 8-for-13 from the floor while adding four blocks and two assists with no turnovers against the Aggies.

Senior center Amber Sprague finished with a game-high 23 points and four boards in San Diego's convincing 94-52 conference win over Saint Mary's.


Senior center Amber Sprague helped lead San Diego to its second largest margin of victory in program history, a 94-52 win over Saint Mary's last Saturday. Playing in her final home game, Sprague finished with a game-high 23 points, going 8-for-13 from the field, and four boards. She also had six assists and four blocks on the night.
