SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2014-15 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball All-Academic Team. The list is headlined by two Capital One Academic All-America selections: Thomas van der Mars of the University of Portland earned first team honors, while Johnny Dee of the University of San Diego collected third team selection.

Dee and van der Mars, a 2014 Academic All-American (third), make their third consecutive appearance on the WCC All-Academic squad. A record eight student-athletes make their debut for 2014-15.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
