SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Men's Basketball Player of the Week for March 3, 2014. This is the final weekly honor of the 2013-14 season.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - AVRY HOLMES, SO., G, SAN FRANCISCO
In two games last week, sophomore guard Avry Holmes averaged 21 points and shot 70 percent from the field (14-for-20), including 66.7 percent (8-for-12) from 3-point range, to lead San Francisco to road wins over Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount.
He scored a career high 25 points at Loyola Marymount, including 10 over the last 5:44 to lead the Dons to their 20th win of the season and 13th conference win. During league contests this season, Holmes averages 14.5 points and has made half of his 74 3-point attempts.
