San Diego Announces Change In Men's Basketball Staff

San Diego, CA - The University of San Diego announced Thursday that head men's basketball coach Brad Holland will not return for the 2007-08 season.

"Brad Holland will not return as head men's basketball coach next season," stated Ky Snyder, USD Executive Director of Athletics. "Brad has represented the university well and we appreciate his contributions over the years.We'll begin conducting a national search immediately."

Holland just wrapped up his 13th year as head coach for the Toreros' program. This past season he finished 18-14 overall and placed 5th in the West Coast Conference. He leaves USD with a career record of 200-176 (1994-2007), and including his two-year stint at Cal State Fullerton (1992-94), his career record as a NCAA Division I head coach is 223-207. In 2003 he guided the Toreros to the WCC Tournament title, and to his one NCAA Tournament appearance.
