WCC Basketball Alumni Set to Compete in 2014 NBA Summer League

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The 2014 NBA Summer League continues Friday, July 11 when play commences at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Thirteen former West Coast Conference standouts will showcase their skills during the 10-day tournament.

Four of the last five WCC Player of the Years will compete in the desert, including Gonzaga's Kelly Olynyk, a 2014 NBA All-Rookie Second Team selection with Boston, Saint Mary's Matthew Dellavedova (2012) and Mickey McConnell (2011). Gonzaga's Matt Bouldin (2010) will also compete.

Two summer league teams will feature at least two WCC alums. Dellavedaova will join former Gonzaga standout Steven Gray on the Cleveland squad, while Elias Harris and David Stockton will play for Phoenix. Former LMU standout Corey Gaines will serve on the Suns coaching staff.

After three games in the Orlando Summer League (July 5-11), Olynyk averaged 17.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game for Boston.
