SAN BRUNO, Calif. – West Coast Conference member institutions continue to exemplify the balance of athletics and academics in the latest NCAA Division I Graduation Success Rate (GSR) report, released in late October. As GSR trends continued to rise across the board, the WCC has consistently remained above the national averages.
Men’s basketball made significant strides in the latest reports with more than half of the membership – Loyola Marymount, Pacific, Saint Mary’s, San Diego and Santa Clara – achieving 100 percent graduations rates for student-athletes in the 2003-06 cohort.
"Congratulations to all of our West Coast Conference member institutions, student-athletes, coaches, administrators and faculty on our continued, significant GSR performance," said WCC Commissioner Jamie Zaninovich . "These latest numbers once again affirm our conference-wide commitment to academic success culminating in meaningful degrees for our student-athletes.
Other WCC Notables From the Report
GSR reports are released annually by the NCAA in October, while the Academic Progress Reports (APR) are disseminated each June.
