WCC coaches discuss their gameday routines

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- As November quickly draws to a close, WCC teams remain quite busy on the hardwood. No. 18/19 Gonzaga will take on a pair of BCS foes this week (Notre Dame, Illinois) while BYU faces Oregon. Meanwhile, both Loyola Marymount and Portland play No. 23 St. Louis.

  • In the early going, West Coast Conference teams are 4-6 against teams from BCS conferences (conference-by-conference breakdown on page two). This week, Gonzaga hosts Notre Dame and visits Illinois, and BYU takes on Oregon in Salt Lake City.

  • Through Sunday's action, BYU (11th) and Saint Mary's (17th) rank in the top 20 nationally in field goal percentage. Santa Clara (8th) and Saint Mary's (17th) are top 20 in 3-point field goals per game.

  • Only eight Division I teams have won at least 25 games in each of the last four seasons. Three of those teams (BYU, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's) call the West Coast Conference home.

  • Santa Clara's Evan Roquemore is the WCC Player of the Week for November 28. Roquemore set a new 76 Classic tournament record with 24 assists over three games.

  • Ranked 18th in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll and 19th in the Associated Press poll, Gonzaga was picked by the WCC head coaches to win its 12th straight conference title.

  • The WCC Men's Basketball Tip-Off was a resounding success. Held at YouTube headquarters, each coach appeared on the WCC Live radio show, a live blog chat, and a live video interview streamed on YouTube where fans asked questions via Facebook and Twitter. In all, over 7,000 people participated in the live event.

  • Seven members of the 2011 All-WCC Team were named to this year's Preseason All-West Coast Conference Team.
