Gonzaga's Kevin Pangos Named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference has named its Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for December 2, 2013. 

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – KEVIN PANGOS, JR., G, GONZAGA
Junior guard Kevin Pangos turned in another strong resume to lead No. 11 Gonzaga to a 3-1 record in capturing WCC weekly honors for the second straight week. In four games, Pangos averaged 22.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game and posted a 4.5 assist/turnover ratio. The Canadian went 26-for-48 from the field (54.2%) 15-for-28 from 3-point range (53.6%) and 21-24 from the line (87.5%). 

Pangos averaged 26.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game as Gonzaga went 2-1 and finished fifth in the Maui Invitational en route to all-tournament honors. In the tourney Pangos went 23-for-39 from the field (59.0 %), 12-21 from 3-point range (57.1 %) and 21-for-24 from the line (87.5 %). Pangos scored career-high 34 points in win over Arkansas, going 10-15 from the field, 7-8 from 3-point range and 7-8 from the line. He also added 27 points against Dayton and 18 against Chaminade.
