PORTLAND, Ore. - Tickets to the University of Portland versus Gonzaga University men's basketball game at the Chiles Center on Jan. 9, 2010 has been sold out, the Pilot Box Office announced Tuesday afternoon. Gonzaga and Portland were picked first and second, respectively, in the West Coast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. Both teams were ranked in the Top 25 last week, but the Pilots fell out of the rankings this week while Gonzaga is No. 21 in the Associated Press poll.
The game between Northwest rivals will be nationally televised on ESPNU with a 7 p.m. tipoff. Portland will have 10 of its 14 WCC games televised, including five on the ESPN family of networks.
Fans that missed out on getting tickets this season can guarantee a seat next year by purchasing season tickets or mini-packages, while also having the benefit of being able to purchase extra tickets to any Portland games in advance before they go on sale to the public. Tickets are still available for the remaining 12 home games on the Pilots' schedule, including a `Pick 3' conference package for only $30 (excluding Gonzaga).
