SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- With finals time on campus, it's a lighter week on the WCC schedule.

  • Through December 10, WCC teams boast a .625 winning percentage (50-30) vs. non-conference foes. See the attached notes for the breakdown.

  • Over the last week, West Coast Conference teams are 5-2 in true road games, including wins at a Pac-12 institution (Gonzaga), MVC institution (Saint Mary's), and Hawai'i (Pepperdine).

  • For the second time in its 60-year history of men's basketball (2008), the West Coast Conference had three teams participating in the NCAA Tournament (BYU, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's). In 2012, the WCC also registered five postseason teams for the second straight year (LMU, USF).

  • For the second time this season, San Diego sophomore Johnny Dee is the WCC Player of the Week. Dee averaged 20 points per game and was 8-of-14 from beyond the three-point arc in two wins last week.

  • Only five Division I teams have won at least 25 games in each of the last five seasons. Three of those teams (BYU, Gonzaga, Saint Mary's) call the WCC home. The other two: Duke, Kansas.

  • Three WCC players have been named to the Wooden Award Preseason Top 50: Gonzaga F Elias Harris, BYU F Brandon Davies, and Saint Mary's G Matthew Dellavedova all made the initial cut.

  • Three WCC players have also been named to the Naismith Trophy list: Gonzaga F Elias Harris, Gonzaga G Kevin Pangos, and Saint Mary's G Matthew Dellavedova are all on the initial watch list for the award, handed out in April.
