Gonzaga's Pangos selected WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced its men's basketball Player of the Week award-winner for December 26, 2011.

Gonzaga freshman guard Kevin Pangos becomes the first two-time WCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for 2011-12. In a pair of Bulldogs victories last week, Pangos averaged 21 points per game on 56% shooting from the floor. The point guard averaged four rebounds per contest, shot 9-of-19 from beyond the three-point arc, and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line. Pangos scored 19 points in a win over Air Force, and followed that up with a 23-point effort in a victory over two-time NCAA finalist Butler.
