Pepperdine Seventh Place After Day One of the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate

Tucson, Ariz. - The Pepperdine men's golf team is currently in seventh place after the opening day of PING Arizona Intercollegiate that is taking place at the Arizona National Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona. Play was suspended due to darkness before all teams could conclude their second round.

UNLV tops the field with a 17-under par while Brigham Young is second at 14-under par. The Waves are 2-under par after shooting an opening round of 7-under par 281. Pepperdine is currently on holes 13 through 18 of their second round.

Junior Jesse Barnsley tied for fourth with a 7-under par total of 135. Barnsley posted scores of 68-67.

Play will resume at 8 a.m. (MST) with the conclusion of the second round and will be followed by third-round action.
