Dons Tied For Third After 18 Holes of Pat Hicks Invitational

Paced by Kurt Nino's two-under 70, the USF Dons shot a first round 287 and are tied for third place in the Pat Hicks Invitational hosted by Southern Utah at the Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George Utah.

USF also got a good score by another Hawaiian, Moses Kahalekulu's at one-under 71 and 73's by Taylor Hobin and Kenny Adams. The course was laid out over a former lava flow. Chris Cunningham shot a 79 and Domingo Jojola playing as an individual shot a even par 72.

Host Southern Utah leads the tournament with a 283, and Denver is second with a 286, one stroke ahead of USF, Washington State, Oral Roberts and Dixie State who are all at 287.

The tournament concludes tomorrow.
