(Honolulu, HI) - The USD golf team shot a second round team score of 291 today and sit tied for 14th with a two-round score of 584 (+8) at the 2007 John Burns Intercollegiate. The 22 team event, being held at the Leilehua Golf Course (par 72; 6,917 yards) in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, is being hosted by the University of Hawaii. USD was paced by Dale Smith and Mike Barry who both carded second round scores of 72 today. They were followed by Darrin Hall (73), Joe Panzeri (74) and Bucky Coe (74). USD's individual standings after two rounds include Hall (T34 at 144), Smith (T43 at 145), Barry (T54 at 146), Panzeri (T77 at 149) and Coe (T93 at 151).
UNLV (554) shot their second straight team score of 277 and have a 10 stroke lead over second place BYU (564). Texas A&M and San Diego State are tied for 3rd, while Auburn, Denver and Colorado State are tied for 5th at 573. The top five individuals include UNLV's Jarred Texter (134), SMU's Frank Wrenn (134), SDSU's Aaron Goldberg (136), Long Beach State's Michael Drake (136) and Arkansas' Andrew Landry (137).
