Toreros in 3rd Place After Two Rounds Of Callaway Golf Invitational

(Rancho Sante Fe, CA) - The USD Toreros find themselves alone in third place after two rounds of the 2007 Callaway Golf Invitational they are hosting at The Farms Golf Club. The Toreros shot a team score of 585 (292-293) and trail leader Texas Arlington (581) and San Diego State (582) in the fifteen team event. Andrew Landry of Arkansas fired a 2nd round 65 and is the two-round leader at 139, along with UTA's Bryce Easton (69-70, 139). Rounding out the top five is Jamie Puterbaugh of San Diego State (140, 73-67), Aaron Goldberg of SDSU (141, 72-69) and Louie Bishop of UC Davis (141, 68-73). The final round will take place Tuesday morning.

USD is being led by Joe Panzeri who is tied for 9th at 143 (73-70). He is followed by Darrin Hall (T13 at 146, 70-76), Mike Barry (T13 at 146, 74-72), Jake Yount (T32 at 150, 75-75) and Dale Smith (T63 at 157, 77-80). USD has two players playing as individuals who are currently tied for 19th overall - Bucky Coe (147, 70-77) and Brian Phan (147, 70-77).
