Junior Eric Shriver shot a final-round even-par 72 to total a 54-hole score of 3-under par 213 to tie for eighth place at the General Jim Hackler Championship that concluded Monday at the par-72, 6,950-yard TPC of Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
Shirver turned in the low round of the day for the Waves, who shot a third-round score of 16-over par 304 to finish at 25-over par 889 and place 14th in the 18-team event.
Lamar shot a final-round 3-under par 285 to finish at 26-under par 838 to register a 10-shot victory over host Coastal Carolina (848). USC (851) was third followed by Duke (868) and East Tennessee State (869).
East Tennessee State's Rhys Davies captured individual medalist honors with a 10-under par score of 206 to register a one-shot victory over Lamar's Dawie Van Der Walt (207). Teammate Oliver Bekker (208) was third while Charlotte's Cory Nagy and Coast Carolina's Zack Byrd tied for fourth with 5-under par scores of 211.
Pepperdine is off until April 2 when it opens play at the N.I.T. Invitational at The Omni Tucson National Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona.
