Toreros Conclude Play at NCAA Tournament

TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of San Diego men's golf team concluded its inaugural trip the NCAA postseason shooting a final round of 299 to post a three-round score of 892, 11 over par, good for a 25th place finish among 27 teams.

The University of Arizona and the University of Florida were the clubhouse leaders at 37-under. The remaining eight teams to advance to round two of the NCAA tournament in order of finish were, Arizona State University, the University of Washington, North Carolina State University, Brigham Young University, Loyola Marymount University, East Tennessee State University and Pepperdine University.

Michael Barry had a solid final round of play for the Toreros as he shot a 71 in the final round to have the best finish among all USD golfers. Mark Antonelli finished the third round with a score of 75, Bucky Coe shot a 76, Jimmy Harris shot a 77 and Jake Yount rounded out the scoring for the day shooting 78.
