Pebble Beach, CA (Sept. 10) -- The Loyola Marymount University men's golf team sits in a tie for 12th place at the 2007 Saint Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach, Calif. The Lions posted rounds of 301 and 300 on Monday to tie San Jose State heading into Tuesday's final round.

Senior Jason D'Amore leads the Lions with a 148, posting rounds of 73 and 75 on Monday. He is in a tie for 25th in the field of 98 players.

The round of the day came by two-time All-American Brian Locke. After an uncharacteristic 79 to open the day, he recovered with a one-under 71 in the second round. He is in a tie for 41st with a 150.

Right behind Locke was newcomer Greg Moss with 72 in the second round. He is one stroke better than Locke overall with a 77 in the first round for a 149 total. He is in a tie for 33rd.

Freshman John Lim also had a good start to his college career with an opening round of 72. He is tied for 63rd with a 154. Sophomore Blake Nicolai is 94th with a 165.
