(South Bend, IN) - The USD golf team is competing at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic in South Bend, Indiana. Heading into second round action today the Toreros find themselves tied for 10th in the 12 team event being played at the Warren Golf Course. USD shot a first round team score of 307 (+27) and were tied with Georgetown and Charleston. Michigan State was the first round leader at 285 and were being chased by Baylor (288) and Notre Dame (289). For USD, Darrin Hall and Mike Barry each carded scores of 76 in the first round to lead USD. They were followed by Jake Yount (77), Jason Shano (78) and Blake Trimble (78). The tournament will wrap up on Tuesday, October 2nd.
